DM Technologies at WOPM 2019

On August 14-16, 2019 the world-leading experts in optical magnetometry met in Mainz at the Helmholtz Institute at 7th annual Workshop on Optically-Pumped Magnetometers. The meeting gathered more than 200 attendees from 5 continents working on development of the most sensitive magnetometric techniques and devices, as well as, their fundamental and practical applications. Nearly 30 speakers covers topics ranging from searching for physics beyond the Standard Model, space exploration, to magnetoencephalography and veterinary medicine.

During the workshop, several companies presented their products to the representatives of the magnetometric community. Among them, DM Technologies presented their two new products: multichannel current source and programmable digital filter (prototype).

At the workshop, we have a chance to present to the braoder community performance of our new current source. We have demonstrated the device important capabilities including: 8 independent output operation, ultra-low noise, programmable and stand-alone operation, and operation with inductive loads. These features makes the source ideal to supply magnetic-field coils, a crucial element of many precise magnetometric experiments.

We have also presented a prototype of our programmable digital filter operating based on field-programmable gate array (FPGA). The filter enable compiling a finite-impulse-response (FIR) filter of freely chosen spectral characteristics within numerous spectral ranges. The impressive performance of the system was tested by our visitors by setting up characteristics of the filter with the computer and later measuring the performance with spectrum analyzer.

With over 50 visitors, 150 distributed leaflets, and several quotations issued on site, our exhibition at the Workshop was a success.
